About us

Paraxial Technologies is a high-technology research and development company that brings together global experts to solve the world’s most challenging problems.

Paraxial has extensive experience leading major healthcare AI and IT projects including the deployment of the VAPALS-ELCAP within the US Department of Veterans Affairs. VAPALS-ELCAP is a comprehensive, open-source, lung cancer screening management system (based on the I-ELCAP protocol) which is integrated with the VA VistA Electronic Health Record. We have also designed and distributed a new low cost and open source solution for manufacturing highly effective Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) using off-the-shelf components called OPEN-PVPS.

Paraxial is now leading the AI technical development of a major open source initiative to develop, obtain FDA approval, and globally disseminate a CT lung nodule detection and measurement solution for low dose CT lung cancer screening.
